Fort William lies in the heart of the Great Glen, Scotland, and is world renowned for its mountain biking.
Map Coverage. The area to the north east of Fort William and includes: Fort William, Witch's Trails, Leanachan Forest, Spean Bridge, Gairlochy, Caledonian Canal, Glen Loy, Puggy Line, General Wade's Military Road.
The map shows the challenging singletrack at the Witch's Trails, with both cross country and the Off Beat downhill track. This terrain will keep the most demanding rider occupied!
There are also gentle loch-side rides and numerous off road trails where the more relaxed visitor can enjoy the stunning scenery.
Includes three suggested bike routes (Easy 30km, Medium 38km or Hard 36km) or adventure on your own using the map as a guide. To make planning easy all trails in the area are shown on the map and are graded for technical difficulty: easy, moderate, difficult, severe. Also includes contours plus map symbols to show the steep sections.

Yellow Route (Easy) 30km
An easy bike ride along the historic and picturesque Caledonian Canal to Gairlochy, returning by a minor road past Glen Loy.
Orange Route (Intermediate) 38km
This route follows the Caledonian Way to Gairlochy, past the Commando Memorial to Spean Bridge and returns via the quiet minor roads along Glen Spean and the River Lochy.
Red Route (Hard) 36km
A beautiful ride along forest paths and tracks
