If today is Monday-Friday and the time is before 4.00pm then we will post your order today*.

Weekend orders will be posted Monday.
Orders on Bank Holidays will be posted next business day.

*Under exceptional circumstances we might not be able to post same day however this would be as rare as us cleaning The Beast at Ladybower!


For orders to the United Kingdom we have free postage. These orders are despatched by Royal Mail 2nd class post and should be with you in 2-3 days (not including Sundays or Bank Holidays)


If you require faster delivery then upon checkout you have the option of upgrading to Royal Mail FIRST CLASS post. The cost of this is shown in the shopping basket and starts from just 60 pence. Royal Mail delivers the majority (over 90%) of first class post next day. You can also choose Special Delivery - please see below.


We also offer Special Delivery by 1pm (this can be selected in the drop down menu on the shopping cart page). It applies to most UK destinations details. Your order must be received by 3.00pm Monday to Friday (& is subject to stock availability). The price for this service is shown when you select this shipping option in your basket.

Note: Special Delivery is not available at weekends or bank holidays and Saturday delivery is not guaranteed. Eg an order placed on a Friday may not be delivered until the Monday.

Please note that a signature will be required upon delivery therefore someone will need to be at your delivery address to accept the package.

Europe Standard Airmail: aims to reach you within 3 working days

We share your passion for mountain biking and want this reflected in everything we do (such as the detailed information about products we have on the web site through to despatching orders very fast, and to us being easy to contact).

We have various route files for GPS units which are available for download.

Thes files will be available for immediate download after payment has been completed.

After payment you will be presented with a transaction complete page which includes a link to download the files. The link will also be sent in the order confirmation email. Download links remain active for 48 hours after placing an order.

Please note we can not accept returns for any download item.


Payment is fast, easy and secure.
You can pay using a debit card, credit card or PayPal - whichever you prefer - just clck on the appropriate button when checking out.

What if I want to cancel an order?

No problem at all. Just give us a phone or send an email with your order details.

If by the time you cancel the order we have not posted it then we will issue an immediate refund. If we have posted the order then we will issue a refund on return of the order - see below for further information.

After we have despatched your order you still have the right to cancel it as follows: under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of these items within a period of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the item is delivered. This applies to all of our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase where the item has been unsealed.

To cancel your order that has been sent to you, please pack the relevant item securely and send it to us with receipt so that we receive it within 7 working days after the day of the date that the item was delivered to you. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service when posting items back to us. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.

The shopping cart

This is provided by Romancart.

This means that Romancart processes and records data inputted into the shopping cart. Their data policy is as follows:

The "Data Protection Legislation" refers to European Directives 95/46/EC and 2002/58/EC, and any persuant legislation including the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
"Personal Data" refers to identifiable data processed by RomanCart relating to an individual interacting with the RomanCart service.
RomanCart acts as a "Data Processor" in the context of the relevant legislation. 

a) RomanCart will process the personal data only for providing the services for BikeMaps. If RomanCart is required by law to process the data for any other reason then if appropriate BikeMaps will be contacted in advance of this processing.
b) Data is stored by RomanCart in the UK.
c) If RomanCart receives a complaint from a Data Subject or Supervisory Authority regarding the processing of Data then BikeMaps will be contacted with this information.
d) RomanCart will contact BikeMaps if it becomes aware of any accidental, unauthorised or unlawful processing, disclosure or access to the personal data.
e) RomanCart ensures that anyone with access to the personal data does so only as required and is bound by a confidentiality agreement to prevent disclosure of the personal data.
f) At the merchants request RomanCart will mark data for deletion and will remove the data as soon as possible after the request is received. At the same time as the request for removal, BikeMaps may request a copy of the data be sent to them by a secure means before removal.
g) If a cart is not upgraded and is not logged into by the merchant for 6 months and has made no sales during that period, RomanCart may close the cart and remove any data relating to that cart - including personal data

BikeMaps receives an email confirmation of the order from Romancart which we then use to get the order together and despatch to the customer. The email confirmation includes the following personal information: name, physical address, email address, telephone number (if supplied), along with the item(s) ordered.

On-line Payment Processing

Card details:

1. Online Orders, card payment: we use PayPal Braintree as our payment processor. BikeMaps does not see customers' card number details. Braintree meets the highest industry standards and guideline and is Level 1 PCI compliant.

2. If you phone us to give your order we input your card details straight into our payment processor and we input the order into Romancart. BikeMaps does not store these details.

Contact Details:

We use these to send out the orders and email you confirmation of order and despatch, and in the unlikely event if there is any problem with the order.


On our checkout we have a button for customers to choose if they would like to receive email marketing. On each mailing is there an option to opt out of further email marketing.



As with all shopping carts we use cookies. These are essential for the shopping cart to work and are as follows:

"RMNCTCKC" - used to tell if cookies are enabled (Does not hold user identifiable information)
"CTAB" - used to tell if a cart has been abandoned.
"RomanCart" - If you click on the optional 'remember my details for next time' option on the checkout this cookie will remember your name, address, email and telephone (if supplied). This is just to make it easier if you shop with us again. It only remembers the information on your computer ie it does not pass the information to us or any third party.

We also use Google Analytics web management cookies. No personal information is collected about the user. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, eg the number of visitors to our site and which of our pages are most popular.

Conversion Tracking of Our Web Adverts:

We use conversion tracking to monitor the performance of our web adverts. When a customer clicks one of our ads on Google or selected Google Network sites, a temporary cookie is placed on the customer's computer so a conversion can be recorded if the customer purchases a product. No personal information is collected about the user. The only information we receive from the conversion tracking is a conversion information eg in a period of 30 days there were 10 sales when customers clicked on a particular advert and then proceeded to purchase a product from our shop.
