The area is located just 25 miles to the southwest of London (roughly lying between Guildford and Reigate). You can be in the heart of it just twenty minutes after leaving the M25.

With so many quality trails the Surrey Hills is a one of the top MTB destinations in southern England.

From the rolling chalkland downs in the north to the Greensand hills in the south there is great diversity making it ideal for an interesting and exciting day out. Each map in this pack describes three very different mountain biking routes to show the very best of this special landscape. There are spectacular views, picture postcard villages and litterally hundreds of long winding woodland trails. Many long distance paths cross the area including the Greensand Way, Downs Link and North Downs Way. There are a whole assortment of natural and purpose built trails for mountain biking, many of them can be found around Peaslake, The Hurtwood and Leith Hill. The main named singletracks are clearly shown on the maps in green. The UTM coordinates for the start points of these trails is also given and these figures can be entered into a GPS. Some other less well known trails are marked in purple and the UTM gird allows GPS coordinates to be calculated.
