Argyll from Islay to Oban

23km. Terrain - Flat, family-friendly towpath.

3. A Whisky Chaser on Islay
103km. Terrain - mix of flat and hilly, fairly quiet 'A' roads and quiet 'B' roads

4. Kick back on Kerrera
15km. Terrain - hilly, mountain bike recommended

5. A lazy Day on Lismore
29km. Terrain - hilly

6. Royal Ride through Glen Lonan
19km 9one way) . Terrain - quiet, single-track minor road

7. Awesome Loch Circuit
84km. Terrain - flat east side, hilly west side, busy 'A' Road , quiet 'B' and minor roads

8. Gearing up for Kinglass
32km (one way). Terrain - hilly start and finish, stony landrover track, mountain bike required

Fort William, Lochaber and Mull

1. Over the Black Mount to Glencoe
21km (one way) . Terrain - rough landrover track, mountain bike required.

2. Romancing Loch Ossian
14km. Terrain - some hills, landrover track, rough & muddy in parts, mountain bike required.

3. A Spell in Leanachan
23km. Terrain - hilly, forest tracks and easy singletrack, mountain bike required

4. The Great Glen Getaway
100km (one way). Terrain - first half flat then hilly, cyclepaths (some rough) quiet 'B' roads. family sections highlighted.

5. The Ardgour Challenger
96km. Terrain - hilly with one major climb, forestry, minor and 'A' roads.

6. Slow road to the Isles
20km. Terrain - flat and hilly, minor roads and cyclepaths

7. Ardnamurhcan and the wild west
40km (one way) + 35km from Lochailort to Salen one way) . Terrain - hilly, 'B' Road and minor road.

8. Tobermory Grand Prix
83km (+65km from Lochailort to Kichoan one way). Terrain - hilly, 'B' anf minor road, brief 'A' road section

Around inverness and Aviemore

1. Culloden retreat
48km . Terrain - hilly with long flats, cyclepath, minor road, quiet 'B' road, short busy town section.

2. Monster Ride by Loch Ness
55km. Terrain - One long hill otherwise undulating, 'B' Road and minor roads

3. A Spin on Black Isle
36km (+24km from inverness to Rosemarkie or train to Cormarty one way). Terrain - hilly but with long flats, quiet 'B' roads, mino roads, busy 'A' road section

4. Affric Safari
25km (+44km from Beauly to foot of Loch Affric one way). Terrain - Rough, boggy and hilly, landrover tracks and singletrack, mountain bike required.

5. Joyride on Speyside
32km. Terrain - mix of undulating and flat, cyclepaths (on and off-road), minor road

6. Rothiemurchus Lochs Loop
32km. Terrain - Climbs, busy 'B' road, forest tracks, singletrack, mountain bike recommended

7. Einich and the blue mountains
31km. Terrain - Mix of long inclines and flay, cyclepath, 'B' road, landrover track, mountain bike required.

8. Passage through the Gaich
51km (one way). Terrain - Easy, inclines, 'b' road, cyclepath, landrover track, singletrack, unsuitable in winter, mountain bike required.

Sky, Eigg and the Outer Hebrides

1. The magic of Trotternish
57km. Terrain -hilly 'A' and single-track roads

2. Skye highs on Sleat
32km. Terrain - very hilly, single-track road, 'A' road section

3. Break out for Eigg
12km (round trip) . Terrain - single-track road, hilly

4. Barra Prologue
40km. Terrain - Undulating, 'A' road, minor road

5. An Uist Odyssey
94km (one way). Terrain - Some hills, mainly flat, minor A & B roads

6. The Gold Coast to Stornoway
90km (one way). Terrain - hilly, long inclines

7. Callanish and the pentland Road
63km. Terrain - Rolling, minor road and quiet A road, busier town section

 

Wester Ross and the Far North

1. Plockton rail circular
18km (on way). Terrain - minor roads, mainly quiet

191km (one way). Terrain - hilly, generally quiet A roads

4. Pilgrimage to Croick
37km. Terrain - gently undulating, quiet minor roads

171km (shorter options). Terrain - hilly coast road, otherwise mainly level, minor road, reasonably quiet A roads

9. Tip-top to John O'Groats
89km. Terrain - mainly flat, quiet minor and B roads, short A road sections.
