The Mountain Bike Routes

This is a route specific map and is designed so that route directions and map are on the same side:

1. Screamer
14.5 miles / 23km
An intense mountain bike ride that’s aimed at maximising the thrills in the area. Technical and fast downhills plus enough climbing to know you've been on a ride.

2. Salt Extractor
16 miles / 26km
A tough mountain bike route that will make you work for the rewards of fine scenery and varied downhills.

At a Glance

This area is between Hayfield and Marple (part of it lies in the Peak District National Park). It is a great area for those looking to improve their mountain biking skills through to experienced mountain bikers as it offers such varied sections. We have two titles: area 'Mellor Magic' is a great introduction to the area and 'Mellor Mania' offers a more intense experience. We have the two maps as a Bundle Offer.

The publication is A4 (210 x 297mm) in size and comes in a sealed waterproof cover. It includes two maps (one on each side), each showing a route (see below left) and includes text directions and gradient profiles.
