Route names:

Forest Fever
6 miles
A great mountain bike route around Macclesfield Forest that is no push over, some tough hill climbs and includes the notorious exhillerating descent down Charity Lane to Forest Chapel. If you find its over all to soon then why not take on a second lap!

Nose Bleed
10 miles
Macclesfield Forest plus Teggs Nose. Take in the above and add in a great section swooping down from the Forest, down a tricky narrow path and onto a great bridleway that leads between two reservoirs to come out at Langley. Then its time to test your legs with some tough climbing (all rideable) to take you eventually to the top of Charity Lane and more off road fun.

Screaming Cats
12 miles
First Macclesfield Forest then over and up to the Cat & Fiddle Public House (second highest in England) then slight climb along an easy bridleway before it descends for about a mile to the road. Then its soon time to test your skills on the loose stones, rock and odd tree root down the Cumberland Track. It's one of those where you know you're supposed to keep your body and hands relaxed, but it's easier said than done!

Wildboar Challenge
16 miles
A mountain bike route that combines of all the above!

Cafe in the Heart of the Forest
Nice Nosh, situated behind the Visitor Centre at Trentabank Reservoir (marked on the map in grid square C4) is one of Macclesfield Forests best kept secrets. Home made cakes (including Lemon Drizzle that is to die for), oat cakes with fillings from the Peak District (Hartington Stilton Sauce, Atlow Mushrooms) home cured bacon, hot rolls and more.... steaming hot teas, coffees and hot chocolate! No luxuries of indoor seating but we prefer the outdoors!
